Join Saket Sankhla, disciple of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, for authentic Tibetan Buddhist Meditation. In this class, we will explore:
• Seven Pranayama Techniques: Understanding the power of breathing and its effect on meditation
• Relaxation Techniques: Relaxing the body and mind to more effectively meditate
• Introduction to Mudras: Incorporating postures that are important for meditation, such as Dhyana mudra, Prana mudra, and Moksha mudra

We will start off slowly warming up and easing into motion. We will spend time playing with movement, patterns, rhythms, and tempos. We’ll experiment with moving fast & slow, dramatic & demur, big & small, heavy & light. We’ll play with shifting, pulsing, shimmying, rocking, swaying, swirling, and bouncing. YogaDance® is about being with your whole self, inviting the emotional body to explore graceful, easeful, joyful, primal, passionate, and sorrowful ways the body can “speak” that are beyond human words. We will then ride a cascading wave of energy into a deep and integrative relaxation.

We will explore pregnancy-specific yoga postures, flows, modifications and variations that will help you find more comfort as your baby grows and your body changes. We will practice various breathing and relaxation techniques to help you stay calm and at ease during your pregnancy and during childbirth. We will create a supportive community and nurturing environment in which you will feel pampered, nourished and rejuvenated.
