Ann
Ann is a 200-hour RYT and a partner in YogaBalance. She sought out Yoga in 2002 as a way to balance her busy career as a lawyer while caring for an ailing parent. Ann has attended many workshops with world-renowned instructors, and traveled to Allahabad, India, to study at the Himalayan Institute’s ashram. Ann weaves into her classes the power of the ancient teachings. Ann and her husband are regular presenters at Yoga Journal Conferences around the country.
Bethany

Bethany, our Prenatal yoga instructor, has practiced yoga since 2000, and received her Hatha Yoga teaching certificate (RYT-200) in 2006 from Core Yoga in Cambridge, MA. She has also trained with the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute, and is currently enrolled in Elemental Yoga’s mind-body training in Integrative Yoga Therapeutics (RYT 500). Bethany welcomes you to enroll in our next prenatal yoga session.
Carolyn
Carolyn has been practicing yoga since 1999. As an athlete, mother and businesswoman, Carolyn has found yoga to be an invaluable tool to stay mentally balanced, injury-free and spiritually grounded. Since 2006, she has been a certified YogaFit instructor as well as an ACE personal trainer, holistic nutrition consultant and lifestyle wellness coach. Having relocated to Manchester from Flagstaff, AZ, Carolyn is proud to be a part of the YogaBalance community.
Catie

Catie began practicing Anusara yoga in 2002 after a successful gymnastics career, and she immediately knew that yoga would become a great part of her life. Catie offers an energetic flowing practice inspired by acrobatics, creative movement, and inner realization. She believes that yoga, like the best things in life, is full of movement and growth. She invites you to attend her YogaBalance classes.
Elizabeth

Elizabeth started practicing Yoga in 2003 with the intention of gaining flexibility. A year into her practice she experienced the therapeutic and spiritual gifts of Yoga that impact the mind, body and spirit. In 2008, Elizabeth received her 200-hour RYT from the Miami, Florida, Yogashala, where she studied under Fred Busch and Paul Toliuszis. Elizabeth invites you to experience Yoga’s gifts.
Gen

Gen has been an instructor in the fitness industry for over 25 years. She is E-RYT and is passionate about the physical and mental benefits of yoga. She likes to think of a yoga class as the perfect combination of all that we need. Her vinyasa classes are designed to allow participants space to explore their own yoga practice—to enjoy the peacefulness of moving with breath, to take pleasure in the beauty of moving with music, and to feel joy in the sweetness of being.
Jenn
Jenn is a 200-hour RYT in the Yoga of Energy Flow and O2Yoga. When Jenn walked into her first yoga class, she immediately fell in love with the practice. She realized her dream of becoming a yoga teacher many years later, and she even owned a successful yoga studio for several years, in addition to maintaining a full-time corporate career. Jenn’s classes mix various styles of yoga, so each class is different, fun, interesting and challenging. She invites you to experience the benefits of yoga at YogaBalance.
Kate
Kate began practicing Yoga in 2007. She received her RYT 200-hour certification in 2009 and is currently working towards her 500-hour certification through Kripalu. Kate is inspired by the many teachers she has studied with, as well as her students. She has a regular practice of movement, breath work, meditation, and living yogic principles in her everyday life. In her classes, Kate aims to create a healing and peaceful space, in which students can relax, breathe, and connect with their hearts.
Liz
Liz began practicing yoga in hopes of gaining flexibility and strength. Not only did she observe her body transforming, but her mind followed in this alteration. With a background in psychology and counseling, Liz embraces this ancient practice as an opportunity to relieve stress, increase confidence, emotional balance and overall well-being. Liz earned her 200-hour RYT through YogaWorks, and is a proud member of the YogaBalance teaching community.
Mara

Mara has been teaching creative and functional movement since 2001. Trained at the 200-hour level through YogaWorks, she is influenced by the Iyengar, Kripalu and Viniyoga traditions. As a former musical theater performer, Mara believes in the transformational power of music and art. Her intention is to inspire students to learn to see their own beauty and achieve their full potential.
Nickie
Nickie began practicing yoga in 2002 to gain flexibility and compliment one of her favorite activities, running. Over time she began to recognize and appreciate the spiritual and therapeutic benefits of yoga. She completed her 200 hour YogaWorks Teacher Training in February 2012. She is passionate about the spiritual and healing power of yoga. She is excited to share her passion and joy for yoga with you and aims to create a safe and supportive environment for her students.
Ruth
Ruth (RYT-200) has been practicing yoga since 2002, and teaching since 2006. She is currently pursuing her 500-hour certification through the Kripalu Center for Yoga. Ruth teaches Vinyasa yoga, kids yoga and family yoga. She also stays active through running, biking, hiking, camping, rock climbing and keeping up with her two amazing children.
Sandi

Sandi is a Registered Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master and Shamballa Master. Sandi had been practicing yoga for many years when, in 2003, her daughter invited her to attend a yoga certification class so they could spend time together. What started as family outings resulted in Sandi’s certification in 2005. Sandi feels honored to share yoga with others so they can discover the same self-awareness and physical benefits she has experienced.
Taryn

Taryn is a former ballet dancer originally from New Hampshire. She began practicing Yoga in 2000, and received her teaching certification through the Zarnay Yoga teacher training program in 2006. Taryn has taught yoga in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as the United States. She continues to study Hatha and Ashtanga yoga under various instructors from around the world.
